This is a coffee table I created. It took about 5 weeks to make, and now I know why furniture costs so much. It was a really fun project, and I learned a lot about wood during the process. The table top is made from three planks of 2x6 wood, and the legs are plumbing pipes screwed to the bottom of the table top with flanges. I can’t wait to start my next table.
Supply list:
3-2x6 pieces of wood
1-Bottle of wood glue
1-tube of black paint
3-Pieces of 1x6 pieces of wood (screwed into the bottom, to hold the 3 pieces of 2x6 together)
1-Can of wood stain
24- screws for the 1x6 pieces of wood and the flanges
8- 1 inch flanges
4- 1 inch plumbing pipes
paint brushes
sandpaper
Let me start off by saying I love this saying … “If Not Now, Then When?” I heard it first in college from an instructor of mine in illustration class, which at the time I did not enjoy too much (illustration that is). This saying inspires me often when I’m trying to make decisions in life, and motivates me to do more design.
The Society of Publication Designers named my cover for the October 2012 issue of the Washingtonian Cover of the Day! Awesome!
This is a great piece for inspiration. Love this!
